According to an article in today’s Cape Cod Times, Cape Cod home sales continue to surge.
It states that in February, for the third month in a row, the value and volume of real estate sales were both up from last year.
349 sales were completed, which is and increase of of 31% over last year and monthly sales volume has been up compared with the same month in the previous year since October, after 11 months of steady decline.
This news report in the Cape Cod Times on February 25th reflects what we are seeing at Coastal Properties. Chatham properties are going under agreement at an accelerated rate, and local Chatham prices, and Cape Cod real estate prices in general, are creeping up. With mortgage rates at historic lows, this is a great time to purchase that dream Cape Cod home.

Whether it is due to the tax credit, lower prices, lower intrest rates or increased confidence in the economy, The Cape Cod Times reported today that home sales were up 46.4% for the month of November.
Now may be the time to buy before this heightened activity causes higher interest rates and higher home prices.
